Watching planes at Palo Alto Airport

“Plane!”

was my first word. I had a knack for spotting those blinking lights, and my eyes were always on the sky from a very young age. Every weekend, I could be found smelling the jet fuel, hearing the engines roar, and watching the great metal birds in action at Palo Alto Airport. I would spend my free time logging countless hours on Microsoft Flight Simulator X and X-Plane 11.

But I took this to new heights when I got to sit in the passenger seat of a family friend’s Mooney M20S Eagle plane and grace the skies I had always longingly stared at. Since then, I have gone flying several times, and hope to get my own pilot’s license one day.

I entered the world of photography in 2021, when I inherited my grandfather’s Nikon D5300 camera. I created an Instagram account to share my pictures from around local Bay Area Airports. Through this platform, I discovered the planespotting community and connected with photographers from across the country.

These photographers—soon my friends—invited me to meetups and gave me photography and editing advice. I learned how to shoot manually and saw a significant improvement in my photo quality. To this day, I still remain in touch with nearly all my planespotting pals, and always treasure the opportunity to catch up with them while doing what we love.

Aside from aviation, I also enjoy photographing nature, cars, urban landscapes, and especially European cities.

I am also into videography. I created my YouTube channel in 2019 and mainly make flight reports to review & share different airline experiences. But I occasionally also upload planespotting and flight simulator content.

Aviation has been in my blood from as far back as I can remember. Through AeroAni, I am sharing my passion with the world.
